Expanding business creates two new stores
Fur and Feathers is the largest family-run independent pet shop business in Hastings. It was established in 1988 by Lynn Neal in a small mews unit. She chose Salepoint to provide shopfittings as soon as the business began to expand.
Salepoint an integral part of the expansion
The business housed a mix of small animals and a wide stock of branded and own-name feed, and flourished by offering a high standard of service and advice on care and husbandry. It provided scope to open a second shop in the nearby High Street. The new shop was able to focus on the ‘prettier’ more upmarket things, such as grooming, collars and leads and snacks and chews. Again, Salepoint was asked to provide the shopfittings. Despite being minutes apart, the expansion plan was a great success.
With confidence high, a third shop was added to the mix. Located between the two existing units, and run by daughter Wendy, it concentrates on Aquatics and Reptiles. Owner Lynn said: ‘As our business has grown so successfully we have continued to make use of Salepoint’s fittings, which have become an integral part of our expansion.’
