Increasing revenue for the family-owned Squire’s Group
The Squire’s Group of Garden Centres is a family-owned business which was founded in the 1930s. There are 14 garden centres in West London, Surrey, Berkshire and Sussex. Salepoint has worked for the company for many years and at most branches.
Increasing turnover for Squire's largest Garden Centre
Just outside Farnham is Squire’s largest garden centre at Badshot Lea. Bought in 2006, Salepoint has been there several times to carry out changes to the shopfitting. The most recent visit was part of a major £1m investment by the company. The whole layout of the garden centre was changed and the very successful Seasons Restaurant was hugely expanded and refurbished. Salepoint were extensively involved in this major refit.
Turnover has continued to go up and up and has quickly become the largest turnover branch for Squire’s. Sarah Squire, Director, Squire’s Garden Centres, said: “This is a fantastic development for our Badshot Lea Centre – especially as we’re celebrating our 75th anniversary.” Salepoint are also working on projects at all three of Squires recent acquisition of Shoots garden centres.
Award winning refit at Twickenham
More recently Salepoint have been involved in a complete refit of the original flagship branch of Squires at Twickenham which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Every department was involved and Salepoint installed extensive timber cladding plus new display units to the catering area plus a range of bespoke timber and glass fixtures to the various departments. Many display units were treated with whitewashed timber backings for an added rustic feel to the overall ambience.
The Twickenham refit project has been recognised with a ‘Highly Commended’ award in the ‘Business Development’ category at the Garden Retail Awards 2013.
